Two Tiffanys celebrating what they love by giving it a stage and using their voices to spread the word.

Meaty Ogre has been mighty active

Producer Meaty Ogre has been incredibly active on Soundcloud in the last week; he has posted a beat (or more) damn near every day, and most, if not all, of them have been throwbacks (such as this “Darn” beat from ’04, and this ’06 “Candle Lit” song that featured Mestizo). Some of the beats were previously unreleased, half-finished, and some are throwbacks that he made for rappers. I’m happy to hear these, so instead of sharing one beat at a time (per post style), I wanted to share several of his latest uploads that I’m enjoying, so give them a listen below and go follow him on Soundcloud to stay in the loop.

About “You Blew Like I Want To”:
“Sometimes you just make a minutes worth and you don’t know where to go from there and you turn off the computer and make a cup of coffee and come back and decide you don’t want to hear it anymore ever again. This was around 2003-2004 from what I recall.”

About “The Sky of ATB”:
“All I used to care about is finding records with drum breaks. I have come a long way from those days. I still like drums. But in these days, it was all I cared about. This was made around 2002 or 2003 maybe.”

About “Nobody Can Take Your Place”:
“Made this around 2004 when I had way less stress, way less worries, and I could sit around all day making beats because my rent was $400.00 and Chicago didn’t care about $1 modern soul records.”

About “Scotter”:
“Sometimes its more fun not to finish a song and just post it as is because otherwise no one will probably ever hear it unless someone gets ahold of my computer and bounces all the 1000s beats out of my Ableton and Acid files.”
