Two Tiffanys celebrating what they love by giving it a stage and using their voices to spread the word.

Foreign Air – “Free Animal”

Having crossed paths numerous times over the years while in different projects, Jacob Michael and Jesse Clasen recently found themselves looking for a new creative outlet when they decided to form the indie rock band Foreign Air. With their debut EP slated to release in February 2016, the duo released its first single a week ago.

“Free Animal” blends indie rock with electro elements and, boy, is it super good. My ear was initially captivated by the lush instrumentation and the catchy melodies. On the prowl for lust and the feeling of comfort (“You’re the only one that can calm me down“), Jesse’s warm voice slowly stretches and releases, over a groovy bassline that leads the way through head-nodding drums, shifting samples, and syncopated, ghostly pop vocals that perk up in the background. The progression of instruments, in combination with the vocal structuring, is really cool, clean, and catchy. These guys know what they’re doing, and I can’t wait to hear more. Give it a listen below.
