Two Tiffanys celebrating what they love by giving it a stage and using their voices to spread the word.

prepixSo, recently I became re-introduced to dance crew Prepix out of S.Korea. If you follow dance crews/bboys then you probably know them already. If not, then stick around. Pretty much I had heard about them back in ’06 when there was a lot of hype surrounding their performances uploaded to Youtube.  They’ve got a really precise style and honestly, I haven’t seen a crew that’s as synchronised as them in a long time. Check out a few of their videos after the jump…tell me they’re not nice, and I’ll call you a liar.

Del's "Automatik Statik"

del_automatikstatik Del keeps on making music, doesn’t he? Go ‘head, man.

Check it out! You can download this album for free. BUT, if you cough up $30, you’ll get a pair of limited edition Del “Funkman” Skull Candy headphones and a 30 minute conference call with the man himself. How dope is that? Looks like he figured out how to bring in money… because you can’t download/leak an actual phone call conversation.

Georgia Anne Muldrow and Adriana Evans

actheaderJust checked my inbox and noticed I had received some goodies: two songs from the label Animated Car Tunes.

First up, Georgia Anne Muldrow is releasing a new album on the label A.C.T. The album is titled, “Early“, and will be dropping November 10th. Keep your eyes open for that! Are you as excited as I am? I love her music!

Also on the label, is a singer named Adriana Evans. I’ve never heard of Adriana, but apparently she made her way into the R&B world in the late ’90s and early ’00s. Her second album, “Nomadic” (from 2004), is being re-released on the label, also on November 10th.

And here at CrayonBeats, we have a single from each album for your listening and viewing pleasure…

Kid Koala "The Slew"

theslew Kid Koala, turntablist from Canada, hasn’t dropped an album since his 2006 release, “Your Mom’s Favorite DJ“. But now he’s back! Three years later with a new album titled, “The Slew“.

The Slew” is available for free download, since they’re doing The Slew tour this year. Who are they? Kid Koala, his friend Dynomite D, and ex-members from Wolfmother Chris Ross and Myles Heskett. Live drums, bass, keys, and six turntables… delivering 70-minute sets of raw guitar and fresh manipulated beats. Psychedelic rock meets turntablism, for a mind-blowing sound.

Del & Tame One "Flashback"

deltameone In the beginning of September, I read that Del The Funky Homosapien and Tame One were doing an album together. Whaaaat? Yeah, I was slightly excited. I heard one leaked track and couldn’t wait for the album, “Parallel Uni-Verses“, to drop October 13th. Be on the look-out for that.

And now… a video for the track “Flashback” is after the jump…

DJ Sleeper's 10 minute mix

djsleeper DJ Sleeper, a turntablist from Los Angeles, has this nice little mix that I thought I’d post for you all. Well, not little. It’s a 10 minute mix of 18 songs. I’ve never heard of the cat until today, but this mix was a nice little introduction for me to him. If that makes sense. I’m not gonna type up a breakdown on who he is and all of that, but if you’d like one read his about-me on his site.

Tracklist, mp3, and a video after the jump…

Nomar Slevik – “Welcome to Fuckland”

If you’ve been reading CrayonBeats, you’ve seen numerous mentions of Nomar Slevik. Not that long ago, I made a post about his “Welcome To Fuckland” 7″/CD package (dis.eased wrekkids) that I received. Go get it! Now I’m going to do a little review on it…

J1’s Starship 27

starshipcover Starship 27 is a collection of beats featuring artists like Dibia$e, Ras_G, Snowman Jack, Black Spade, devonwho, P.U.D.G.E., Dâm-Funk, House Shoes, and more. It was compiled by J1 aka The DEER.

I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile, but kind of forgot to. If you want it, download it after the jump.

Stainless Steele’s top friends are beat makers

I’ve been waiting for Stainless Steele to drop this gem for awhile and it’s finally here for listening pleasure. Stainless Steele‘s “My Top Friends Are Beat Makers” mixtape!

Over time, Stainless became friends with various beat makers through Myspace, and chose to have a handful of them on an album together. Online collaborations! Stainless spits over his friend’s beats – it’s 17 tracks deep, and 46 minutes in length. Released on Kowloon City 93 Records.

Wax and Herbal T's Low Budget Mystery Tour

Yep, Wax & Herbal T are going on tour starting October 1,2009 and I’m definitely checking them out, I kinda feel obligated after all the posts we have here on CB about them LOL.  Anywho, check out the tour dates after the jump to see if they’re coming to a city near you:
