Two Tiffanys celebrating what they love by giving it a stage and using their voices to spread the word.

Tweet, tweet

I don’t know how many of you are apart of Twitter or know what it’s about. It’s called micro-blogging. You basically answer the question of “What are you doing?” in 140 letters or less. You have a friends-list (people you follow) and people that can follow your updates (tweets) too. You can reply (it’s public) to their posts, or direct message them (where it’s private). You can update your twitter (and @reply) from your phone through texts or mobile web. You can post links. You can post pictures with Twitpic or a few other sites or from your phone… onto Twitter! In no way am I saying “so and so uses it, so you should too“, but a lot of people use it.

2 Many DJs – Introversy Mix

2manydjs2 Many DJ’s (David & Stephen Dewaele) took over Rob Da Bank‘s show for 2 hours. They played a non-stop 60 minute mix of 420+ song intros. AMAZING! From artists such as Nirvana, The Beatles, Ginuwine, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, Kool & The Gang, Sly & The Family Stone, Air, Eric B & Rakim, Franz Ferdinand, MGMT, The Clash, AC/DC, Van Halen… and so on. It’s soooo wild, and I love it. And for the next hour of the show, they played a dope disco mix. They’re geniuses.

Download the whole mix below, it’s definitely worth it.

Bay Life

saulcohen The guy to your left is from the bay area, and his name is Saul Cohen. If you don’t recognize him yet, you’re about to get familiar.

So, I came across a few videos of his a couple days ago. He had (last one posted was a year ago) a mini series called, Bay Life, that can be viewed on youtube. Based on the little research that I did, it started 2+ years ago. The first Bay Life video shows Tre standing outside of his parents’ restaurant, “Saul’s Restaurant and Delicatessen,” while he explains his name change. The videos are much like that of a trailer, being that they’re a minute to a couple minutes in length. Basically, it shows different views of his life in the bay; the camera-guy is either interviewing Tre or he’s following him around the streets.

Predict Amy Winehouse's death?

Say whaaat? Yes, there's an actual website for individuals to predict the day she will die. And if she dies on your day, you "win an iPod Touch"....

Justin Nozuka

Justin Nozuka is a 20-year-old, acoustic soul singer/songwriter. He’s half Japanese and half American. Born in New York and raised in Toronto, Canada. Justin was number six of seven children, where all four of his brothers are artists in some form. His mother, Holly Sedgwick (sister of actress Kyra Sedgwick), raised him and his siblings by herself.

I first heard of Justin about 8 months ago (I’m guessing) when I saw his “After Tonight” video posted on some girl’s blog. He has a beautiful voice.

knaan He was born in Somalia (in Mogadishu) – a place where it topped Iraq and Afghanistan on Forbes magazine’s Most Dangerous Destinations, where nobody (children or the elderly) was safe, where it was lawless, and where 6-year-olds patrolled the streets with AK-47s. He is a Muslim. His aunt, Magool, was one of Somalia’s most famous singers. His grandfather was a well-known poet, which says a lot for a country called, “Nation of Poets”. He spent his childhood in the district of Wardhiigleey (“The Lake of Blood”) during the Somali Civil War.

He is an emcee straight from Somali.
Who is he?
He is…

Barack Obama's Inauguration

APTOPIX Obama Inauguration

The 44th president, speaking in front of the biggest inauguration crowd in US history, said: “Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and begin again the work of remaking America.”

An estimated 2 million people, wrapped up against the winter cold, many of them in place since dawn, filled the Mall to see Obama sworn in as America’s first black president. A big proportion of the crowd was African-American, many having travelled from across the continent to witness the historic moment.

It’s a great day in America. Is anyone watching the inauguration? Or were you there?

Now you, too, can reek of meat

Picture this: A girl just got through devouring a delicious, green salad. She’s full. Moments later… her roommate, Jeff, walks through the door. This girl’s stomach randomly begins to growl, and she also gets slightly naseous at the same time. She doesn’t know why this is happening. But I know why. It’s most likely because Jeff is wearing Burger King’s new meat-scented cologne. Noooo way! Yes, I typed that correctly.
