Two Tiffanys celebrating what they love by giving it a stage and using their voices to spread the word.

Daena Jay (@daenajay) is an indie pop singer-songwriter that is originally from South Africa, but is now based out of Los Angeles, California. She released her debut EP, called When The Bough Breaks, two years ago. On March 18th, 2014, she released a follow-up EP, titled SUBDIVISION, via CatBeach Music.

My first introduction to this singer was through the anthemic, foot-stomping song about courage (“I Will”) and the finger-snapping, guitar-driven song about having faith in love (“This Love”); and they are both great. Daena Jay has been a joy to listen to, and you’ll find that through all 5 songs in SUBDIVISION. The album is made up with bold compositions and straight-forward lyrics mostly about inner strength and her longing for love. What’s not to like? The album was produced by Bobby Hartry. Watch a video of her performing “This Love,” then stream the album in full. Buy it for $5.
