A newish addition to the Uncommon Records roster is DCK VNNGT (pronounced Dick Vonnegut). They’re a Portland, Oregon emcee/production duo, made up of Bloodmoney and Yunsloth.
If you copped the “Save The Horn” pop-up compilation that Uncommon did to raise money for famine relief in East Africa, then you’re already familiar these dudes. If not, now’s the time. Last week, as a prequel to their 2012 LP, “Bare Witness“, they dropped a free debut album, titled “MRDR DTH KLL“. Anyone else think of “Demolition Man”? Yeeeeeah, Simon Phoenix shit. Anyway, original production by these fellas, along with a Nasa remix of their track “Bombs Not Rations” (which also features ADAM [formerly Adam Warlock, who is also Nasa... remember?]), and a beat from Ormo on another track.

Upon listening, I nodded my head in agreement as they’re a good-fit with the Uncommon crew. Similar type of sounds and forward thinking music. Loud basslines, grungy percussion, heavy delivery, concious and outside-of-the-box lyricism, chaos, and destruction. All of that. You should definitely download this 8-track release, and get familiar with DCK VNNGT. You can’t say no to free.

The album is available digitally or in CD form. There’s also a homemade t-shirt, and a t-shirt/CD combo pack (seen above). The choice is yours here.
