“It’s no fun without the gore.” Charlie Immer is an artist and illustrator in Brooklyn, New York. He has shown his work at Gallery 1988, and had a huge solo show at Roq La Rue. He’s been featured in a few places, and right now he currently has a piece running over at 1xRUN.
The piece featured here is called “Jelly Face”. It’s cute and bloody, happy and dark. The rainbow pastel colors make you feel good and smile, almost to the point where you forget there’s a character who pulled off his face to show his skull smiling right back at you with big gobs of blood gushing out. Awwww…
And if you know how 1xRUN operates, then you already know this piece is limited to 50 copies and only up for a week.
for $55, before it runs out.
“I started out after school hoping to become a commercial illustrator. I then discovered very quickly that my work is not what one would call commercial unless I subtract the Blood and Guts. It’s no fun without the gore.” – Charlie Immer, Sunrise Artists interview.
Be sure to visit Charlie’s website to view more work by him. Very cool artist.
