
Hollow Pigeons aka Ryan Dela Cruz is a 15 year old experimental hip-hop beat maker from Toronto, Canada. A classically trained pianist, Ryan decided to one day just say fuck it and stopped playing. It wasn’t until about a year or so later that, after listening to the soundscape on Final Fantasy X that the young talented producer got interested in listening to “video game music” along with Japanese pop. In his own words, “[...]that was my main inspiration to start making music.”
Along with citing video games and Asian pop as influences, Hollow Pigeons also says that artists like Flying Lotus and TOKiMONSTA as having major impacts on his musical creativity. His newest release, Letters To Kiko EP, is a beautiful musical playground dedicated, or rather inspired by Kiko Mizuhara, a model from Japan.
