Born and raised in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma), Tun Tun Khaing moved to NYC by way of Singapore to pursue his college education. Upon making it to the City of Dreams, he began to explore his interests in areas of are such as music, performing arts, and fine arts. Yet, within all of this, he realized his passion for design, and while technically being into fashion since his middle school days, it wasn’t until the Parsons New School design student called NYC his home that he thought of it as something he wanted to pursue.
Living in NYC, one must definitely be outstanding in their own personal style, and equipped with his signature afro, it’s not a difficult task for Tun Tun, describing his personal style as “something that can go from the streets to the ball room.” His funky street style reflects NYC life, and the times of today’s pop culture, all the while bringing a fresh new twist to wardrobe staples. Everything from shoes, to jackets, tops and accessories, Tun Tun has created very unique pieces that reflect his influences in life.
