Southern hip hop is getting a whole new meaning with Answer, a rap group who hails from the South. South Korea, that is. This rap duo is expanding the sounds of Korean pop, Hip Hop and R&B as they bring a little bit of American laced southern hospitality to their country. Influenced by dirty south hip hop artists such as Lil’ Wayne, the group brings that same charisma and fire to their songs. Impressive and rhyme patterns on top of heavy hitting beats separates this crew from the competition: their flow and style making them easily stand out in the crowd. Their new single is currently creating a huge buzz on the Korean internet, as well as here in the States, with videos of their songs on youtube drawing in more and more views each day.

I first heard about these guys through my new friend, Gimm!박사, who is an amazing artist in his own right (check him out ). Their style immediately caught my attention because I’m a Southern girl at heart (GA!!) and their sound really hit me. I’ve only heard of one other Korean rapper who brought southern flavor to Kpop, and I’m sure everyone knows it’s Crown J…who’s pretty single-handedly much put ATL on the map when it comes to Kpop. I’m really looking forward to hearing more from these guys. I was also really happy to see that they’re under the same label as Boni, whom I interviewed earlier.
Anywho, like I was saying, these guys really hit me with their sound. I’ve been playing their videos on youtube non-stop and the more I listen, the more I like what I’m hearing from them.
