For those who aren’t familiar, “animal style” exists on the secret menu of the food chain, In-N-Out. Animal style = extra spread (much like thousand island dressing), pickles, grilled onions, and the burger patties are grilled with mustard. In-N-Out originated in Southern California, and luckily, we (in AZ) have some chains too.
Yeah, so El Prez released a new solo project this year titled, “Animal Style!” (on Tree House Club Recordings/ FCC). And he released it for free. So clog your arteries with a burger the way you want it, some animal style french fries on the side, and download the album after the jump.

A father, a community organizer, and a rapper… I’ve talked about him before: Bambu. He grew up in Watts, California. And with all the negative energy that surrounded him, he chose to do something positive with it – he turned to music.
He just dropped his latest EP, “…Paper Cuts…” (on Beat Rock Music), on February 23rd. [Read More...]
KC Ortiz (that is not him pictured at the left, by the way) is a photojournalist based in Chicago. He first began shooting the gang and graffiti lifestyle. He focuses on the world’s forgotten and overlooked people. He’s traveled to many areas of the world.
His latest gallery titled, “Forced Rebellion – Hmong CIA Veterans of the Secret War” is incredible. With a ton of bravery and a camera in hand, KC walked around with the Hmong people and captured shots that give you a small glimpse into the lives of the Hmong people that were left behind.

Sup, people. It’s been a while since my last music related post, and I thought I’d jump back into it with a little twist. I’d like to introduce to you all to the handsome fellow to the left; my little brother Chris (yes, he’s really my little brother). Going by the moniker Malone , he’s been making music for a while now, but in true big sister fashion, I’ve basically ignored him and his shenanigans. However, yesterday I actually took the time to listen to one of his songs while he was editing the vocals. I gotta say that I’m pretty impressed! So with that being said, I kinda want to know what you guys out there think. You know, being that we’re related and all, my opinion is completely biased (be it negative or positive) but I really do think he’s pretty good, so let me know your thoughts. After the cut, I’ve posted a few of his tracks, so check them out, vote in the poll, and leave some comments, mmkay?
Part two is here – “Detroit to Los Angeles“. This video focuses on his life in Los Angeles.
Don’t forget to grab the Stussy x Dilla Estate x Stones Throw t-shirt. Be quick, because ST sold out already.
