Holiday movie season has been in effect for a few weeks now, and aside from some super ass kicking action from Korean triple threat Rain, there’s one movie that I practically peed my self for when I saw the trailer recently. That’s right, you heard me. But what could possibly be more awesome than blood, ninjas, and a shirtless Rain? The Lovely Bones is what. Based on the book of the same name, the movie is directed by Peter Jackson, the man behind District 9, King Kong (2005) and most notably, The Lord Of The Rings trilogy. To say I am anticipating this with stars in my eyes is an understatement. And if you’ve read the book, you’ll know why.
For those who haven’t read the book, no worries because based on this HD trailer on youtube courtesy of Hollywood.com, I think the movie version will do a good job in telling the story of author Alice Sebold’s Susie Salmon; a young girl who watches over her family from heaven while also helping to solve her rape-murder. The movie starring Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon, Rachel Weisz and Saoirse Ronan is slated for release this December.
