Once I heard that there was going to be a DJ Hero game (by Activision), I got a bit excited. This could be really fun, and I could finally bring out the turntablist within me… through a video game. Hahaha. DJ Hero will feature more than 100 individual tracks transformed into more than 80 exclusive, original mixes by well-known DJs including: DJ Shadow (in-game character), DJ AM (in-game character), DJ Z-Trip (in-game character), Cut Chemist, and more.
Music genres include hip hop, R&B, Motown, electronica, and dance… which the game will allow creation of “original mixes” of songs. For example, you’ll see tracks from these artists: Gwen Stefani, Rick James, Nirvana, BEP, Marvin Gaye, Jay Z, Eminem, Beastie Boys, etc.

Three game modes are mentioned: DJ vs DJ, DJ + DJ, and DJ + Guitar. Along with being able to work with the guitar, it’s said that it’ll support microphones too.
DJ Hero will be available on PS3, PS2, Xbox 360 and Wii.
