Rafael is a badass. He does slam poetry, sings, and raps writes. And the crazy thing is, he does them all equally well. His poetry has this raw passionate feeling that makes you wonder why can’t all young men think like him, while his music is this perfect blend of an old soul with a new energy. Seriously. He’s probably my new favorite artist so far this year.

I’ve never heard of this guy before, so I thank you for shedding light on him and creating a post to those of us who don’t know who he is. I think he’s incredible. “Monster” was great.
In regards to his My Miller Chill piece – I was laughing at the beginning when he said: “We’ll just call him Rafael. Who is insanely handsome.” Hahaha, so true. This man is handsome. His breath control is on point, too. And both pieces were written so well… and it’s totally the truth. Especially with the advertisement My Miller Chill piece. He spits the truth and wraps it up in comedy. I loved it. “I know that once you let them rent the legs you stand on, they are gone from under you.” YOOOO, man… nothing but constant claps for this dude. I’m totally feeling him.

=} I’m so glad you liked it! I’ve been listening to his album on repeat for awhile now. If you liked the two vids I posted, check out A.D.D. and Barbie and Ken 101 lol I must have watched his youtube videos several times over as well.

Yeah, I saw those too. I subscribed to his youtube channel. :]
However, when I downloaded the album, for some reason it wouldn’t unzip correctly. I went to his myspace and downloaded it from there and his other album (The Getback), and it still didn’t unzip properly for me. I don’t know what’s wrong – if it’s the files themselves that are corrupt or my programs being wack. -Sigh. :[
