I don’t know how many of you are apart of Twitter or know what it’s about. It’s called micro-blogging. You basically answer the question of “What are you doing?” in 140 letters or less. You have a friends-list (people you follow) and people that can follow your updates (tweets) too. You can reply (it’s public) to their posts, or direct message them (where it’s private). You can update your twitter (and @reply) from your phone through texts or mobile web. You can post links. You can post pictures with Twitpic or a few other sites or from your phone… onto Twitter! In no way am I saying “so and so uses it, so you should too“, but a lot of people use it.

Other people who use it: Shaq, Obama, ?uestlove (he updates a lot, haha), Jean Grae, Q-Tip, Michael Ian Black, Steve Nash (& Phoenix Suns), DJ Babu, Talib Kweli… and the list goes on and on. It’s dope as hell though (or as my friend is trying to get me to say: it’s bird flu!)… and addicting. Probably because you can update on it from anywhere and it’s almost like a new form of instant messaging because of the reply button. Hahaha. It makes stalking/following/seeing what celebs (or anyone) are up to… so easy though – unless their profile is private.

Check this: I made a tweet about my anger with UPS a few days ago. I didn’t get my package… and it said it was delivered to me on their website. Two minutes later (no joke), a guy who worked with UPS replied to that tweet asking if there was something he could do to help me. Whoaaaa, that was bonkers. Haha.

Anyway, the whooole reason of this post is to bring up a story I read. I came across the link, because a friend made a tweet with the link (figures, right?). This guy made a blog about how he met up with Shaq in a 5 & Diner (here in AZ)… because of Twitter. Hahah, seriously. Read the story here. It’s told very well and it’s funny, so take the time to read it.
